CADD on the Road – APTI Conference

March 9th, 2016

One of CADD’s newest BIM experts, Purvi Gandhi Irwin, will be hitting the road later this month to present at The Association for Preservation Technology International (APTI) Documentation Workshop in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. APTI is an international association of professionals - including architects, engineers, and conservators - that are committed to promoting the use of technology to conserve historic structures and their settings.

Purvi’s session is titled An Architect’s Evolving Toolbox – Modern Solutions for Historic Problems, and she’ll be discussing the use of modern technologies in project execution. She’ll examine the variety of modern tools available for survey and design, and how to integrate these into an overall project/office workflows. She will also discuss how to use these tools at the various stages of project, as well as the application at different project scales.

Originally part of APTI’s 2014 annual conference in Quebec, Canada, this workshop was such a huge success that APTI decided to take it on the road, with Hawaii being its next destination, and now its latest stop in Pennsylvania.

The two day conference is packed with a variety of interesting topics and presentations, and is located within the Chemical Heritage Foundation, a public museum and library that features the history of chemistry. This workshop is sure to be one you don’t want to miss! For more information about this event and registration, please visit APTI’s website.
