There was one movie that I looked forward to watching every year growing up, and it was The Wizard of Oz. It tells the story of a girl named Dorothy from Kansas who is swept up in a twister and ends up in a magical new world. Dorothy wants to find her way back home and begins a journey on a yellow brick road to find help from the Wizard of Oz.
I am asking you to join me today on a journey down a different yellow brick road to find your way to enabling a Bluebeam Prime Studio integration. The lesson you will learn on this journey is that you’ve always had the power of Bluebeam, you just need some help integrating it.
If you are using Studio Prime for an integration, it is important to follow the below instructions to set up your account, in the specific order listed, to ensure a smooth implementation.
Adding brand new users for the first time:
1. Revu License Admin:
- Add the user inside the Org Admin (Revu subscription management) portal and assign their license
2. End User:
- End user accepts the license, creates an account (or logs in with an existing Bluebeam Studio login).
- User needs to open Bluebeam Revu on their desktop and click on the Studio icon (Alt + C) and log in there with the same credentials they used to sign into Revu. (Note: this specifically has to happen inside the Revu desktop app)
3. Studio Prime Admin:
- Log into the Studio Prime Admin Portal and invite the user as a Prime Member
4. End User:
-
End user accepts the Prime Member invite.
Troubleshooting for existing Studio Prime Members:
1. Studio Prime License Admin: • Revoke the Prime Membership for the user inside the Studio Prime Admin Portal
2. Revu License Admin:
- Ensure the user has a Revu license assigned to them in the Org Admin (Revu License) portal. If not, assign them a license of Revu.
2.1. End User: (if step 2 was needed)
- End user accepts the license, creates an account (or logs in with an existing Bluebeam Studio login)
3. End User:
- User needs to open Bluebeam Revu on their desktop and click on the Studio icon (Alt + C) and log in there with the same credentials they used to sign into Revu. (Note: this specifically has to happen inside the Revu desktop app)
4. Studio Prime Admin:
- Log into the Studio Prime Admin Portal and re-invite the user as a Prime Member.
5. End User: End user accepts the Prime Member invite.
I hope you now feel like there’s no place like Bluebeam Studio which in time will feel like home.
