You know how a lot of activity is called a hubbub? That makes sense when you consider that a hub is the center of whatever's going on. Southern California has long been a hub of the computer industry, and Detroit used to be the hub of the auto industry. Busy airports, like the ones in Chicago and Atlanta, are called hubs. Any hub is important, because it's right in the middle of all the action.
Today, I am going to talk about the Autodesk Construction Cloud hub. This hub is a place where teams access software, store data, and collaborate on projects from anywhere. Team admins with active ACC subscriptions will see a new Hubs page under the Products and Services tab in their Autodesk account.
We asked Autodesk team admins to make a list of their biggest challenges, and managing their hubs showed up on every list. Christmas in July has come early for theses admins because of this new Hubs page. This page will show a list of BIM 360 and Autodesk Construction Cloud hubs associated with an admin’s team, providing easy access and full visibility into hubs. This visibility makes it easier for team admins with BIM 360 and ACC to facilitate collaboration and reduces the need to contact Autodesk support to understand their hub structure.
From the Hubs page, admins can:
- View hubs in one place
- Understand the hub ecosystem for their teams
- Reduce the need to contact Autodesk support to understand how to work with hubs Hubs for additional products will be added to the page throughout the year.
As an admin with an active subscription, you can view all hubs associated with your Autodesk team in the Autodesk Account under Products and Services > Hubs page. As an Autodesk Account admin, you can view a hub associated with your team, but you will not be able to manage that hub unless you have been added as a hub account admin. You must contact your hub admin to obtain access.
Note: Users you add to a hub are added to your team as guest users if they are not already on the team with another role.
Mike’s Tip of the Day: Keep guest users in your team’s user list to allow them to view their projects across various hubs for their Autodesk software.
